William has been developing by leaps and bounds lately it seems. He’s jumped up to learning Level 4 stuff in gymnastics, where 6 short weeks ago he was only doing Level 1 stuff. He actually got a shot off in the last basketball game–just dribbled right into the lane and put it up. He missed, but progress is progress. In that same game, he took a turn as the defender of the quickest player on the opposing team, and did well–another big step. I bought him a watch and he’s been keeping himself on schedule, for the most part, throughout the day. We’ve been cranking through school in a way that is seriously frightening to my budget.
I’m still losing weight, although not as quickly or consistently. I’m still missing running because I still haven’t made room for it in my schedule. Instead I have been keeping up with homeschool scheduling and record keeping, and I’ve been getting caught-up-ish on work. I’m happy with this trade-off for now. I’m still thoroughly enjoying coaching basketball. We’re 2-2 now, with the hardest part of the schedule behind us. I could see us winning all of our remaining games.
I still haven’t made journaling a regular part of my life. I wonder if I ever will. But if that is the only goal I never acheive in this life, I can live with that.
